motorbike cop spotted a lady driving whilst on the phone so he gave her a stop sign to pull her over... as she came to a stop cop figured she was obeying...
but nope.. she just spotted a parking spot and hit the cop trying to back in to it...
still only got a warning as she scared herself bad and the cop took pity on her...
i should try that next time i drive into a cop

Hmm, the newspaper I read it in clearly stated her being on the phone while driving. He gave her a stopsign indeed, but she was too distracted by her phone and ran over the bike.
Either way, the fact that shes only getting a warning for this is outrageous considering how much fines are for, let say, speeding 10km over the speed limit.

Did he not have lights? (Something about this screams UK to me, not sure why) If he did, there’s no way she didn’t see her.

You have died - game over

Plate redacted to protect the stupid?
And a warning, of course, I wonder why.

Is your skin color darker than Wonderbread?
Cop: Mistakes phone for a gun, He’s got a gun! Bang, Bang, Bang.
You are now dead.

this is where i got it...
best part is when asked about it by the news people the lady denied being on the phone...after all.. if she was on the phone she would have gotten a ticket....
no lessons were learnt here today (cept maybe that turning on the waterworks is still an effective strategy for getting off light)

hey it never hurts to plan for these things

netherlands.. and he has lights but was probably only using the stop signal.... for most people thats enough as the police colours are pretty hard to miss...
course... if you never look behind or check the mirror.... well

probably
and if i have to guess she turned on the waterworks
(course she didnt learn anything from it as when the news people asked her about it she denied being on the phone coz the cop would have given her a ticket if she was......)

They should subpoena her phone records and show it was in use.
But I am sure some demographic and socio-economic traits would prevent that from happening.

no one got hurt... so yeah... that would likely be pretty hard
doubt mr bike officer will be as leniant next time tho

Of course, negligently operating 5000 lbs of machine (I am sure purchased via hard work by the driver) is nothing.
You just know if a working class kid in a clapped out 206 reversed into him, there wouldn’t be so much forgiveness.

yeah most likely... woulda got the ticket at least

What’s the stop signal? US cops only have lights or lights and sirens.

meaning i still got some of the details wrong... cop must have doubled back before the lady hit her.. (or my local news got some of the details wrong)

Oh wow, something that small would never work in the US.
